Downtown Cary Park Celebrates Four-Legged Friends With Barktoberfest

CARY, NC - Barktoberfest returns to Downtown Cary Park this fall with a series of programs and events celebrating four-legged friends and the people who love them. Dog lovers can enjoy registration-based classes and programs throughout the season, including puppy yoga and pet portrait painting, as well as free community events featuring movies, performances, trivia, and more.

Featured Barktoberfest events include:

October 2 - Movie Night: "Frankenweenie"

Bring cushions, blankets, and chairs to the Great Lawn for a screening of Disney's "Frankenweenie." The free event begins at 6 p.m., with pre-screening activities for all ages before the movie.

October 4 - "Good Dogs and Lucky Dogs"

Applause! Cary Youth Theatre presents a family-friendly performance celebrating furry friends. The production showcases students who developed their performance skills through a multi-week class and created a one-of-a-kind show.

October 8 - Dog Trivia

Dog lovers can test their knowledge during Dog Trivia at The Bark Bar. Hammered Trivia will lead an evening of questions, friendly competition, and prizes.

October 10 - Triangle Barkitecture

Triangle Barkitecture brings custom pet architecture, adoptable animals, and a day of activities to Downtown Cary Park. The pet architecture competition features unique builds by Triangle architects and designers, with pieces auctioned to benefit local animal rescue organizations. Admission is free, and leashed pets are welcome.

Barktoberfest also includes registration-based classes and programs spanning visual and performing arts, fitness, dog training, and other activities.
