Hawaiʻi - Staff from the Office of U.S. Representative Jill N. Tokuda (HI-02) will participate in the Waiʻanae Community Resource Fair this Saturday, April 25, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Waiʻanae Mall (86-120 Farrington Hwy). The fair is hosted by ʻElepaio Social Services in partnership with the City and County of Honolulu.
Staff will be on-site to help residents navigate federal agencies and programs, including SNAP and other benefit applications. Staff can also provide guidance on replacing lost or damaged federal documents, such as U.S. Passports and Social Security cards. This outreach builds on recent support efforts in Waialua and Laie, where Tokuda's team provided on-the-ground casework and disaster relief assistance for storm-impacted residents.
Families recovering from the March 2026 Kona Low storms are reminded that a federal waiver currently allows SNAP households to purchase hot or prepared foods through May 16, 2026.
