Chinese Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Xiao Jianguo Meets with Dato Shamhary

On 30th October, H.E. Mr. Xiao Jianguo, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Brunei Darussalam, met with Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, Minister of Transport and Infocommunications. Yang Mulia Awang Haji Mohammad Nazri bin Haji Mohammad Yusof, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Shi Rongke, Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy participated in the above meeting.

Ambassador Xiao briefed Dato Shamhary on the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, thanked Bruneian side for accepting Chinese airplane standards, and expressed willingness to work together with Brunei to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of State, strengthen the alignment of development strategies, take the signing of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area 3.0 Upgrade Protocol an opportunity to deepen cooperation in areas such as the digital economy and artificial intelligence, and make greater contributions to improving the well-being of the people of both countries.

Dato Shamhary highly praised the tremendous achievements China has made in economic and social development, and welcomed more Chinese enterprises to invest in Brunei, continuously deepening pragmatic cooperation and promoting high-quality development of bilateral relations.
