Women in Construction Week

March 2, 2026

Dear Maine Employer,

March 1-7 is Women in Construction Week! Are you an employer in Maine's construction industry that proudly employs women? We want to hear about it!

How you can get involved:

  1. Social Media Toolkit: We'd love to help spotlight all of your ongoing efforts. For ease of posting, we created this toolkit that can be used on your social media, or just use the hashtag #MaineWomeninConstruction so we can amplify your message. The toolkit can be downloaded, and the images/quotes can be swapped out to feature your employees!

  2. Webpage with calendar of events: See a new women in trades webpage featuring a calendar of events this week. If you're hosting an event and would like it featured on the calendar, let us know by emailing [email protected].

  3. New mini employer training: Also on the website is a new online mini training the Department developed with the Maine Community College system for construction employers and supervisors about creating a welcoming workplace -check it out!

Happy Women in Construction Week!
