Traffic Advisory: Denton's Day of the Dead Festival 2024

DENTON, TX, Oct. 25, 2024 - Between Friday, Oct. 25, and Sunday, Oct. 27, Denton's Day of the Dead Festival will take place in the downtown area. In conjunction with the event, parking restrictions and street closures will be implemented.

The following streets will be closed to vehicular traffic on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 5 a.m. - 10 p.m.

  • E. Hickory Street from N. Locust Street to Oakland Street
  • E. Oak Street from N. Locust Street to Oakland Street
  • Industrial Street from E. Mulberry Street to E. Hickory Street
  • S. Austin Street from E. Walnut Street to W. Pecan Street

All street closures and listed times are subject to change based on evolving or unexpected conditions. The public should expect parking restrictions along the streets and utilize designated public parking locations.

Due to an increased pedestrian presence, motorists could encounter possible delays if in the vicinity of Day of the Dead Festival and may wish to consider alternative routes.
