Rep. Mullin’s Statement on Iran War Powers Resolution Passage

Washington, D.C. - Congress has finally passed an Iran War Powers Resolution, an important step toward asserting Congressional oversight and ending Trump's reckless and unpopular war.

I have repeatedly voted to stop Trump's unhinged behavior, and today's Senate vote sends a clear message: Congress will not provide a blank check for an illegal war that has killed U.S. service members and thousands of civilians, and driven up costs for families at home.

This bipartisan resolution is a critical step toward restoring Congressional oversight-but we need to maintain pressure and remind Trump that the American people do NOT support his endless war with Iran.
