San Francisco County ― This weekend's lane reduction on the U.S. 101 Bayshore Freeway (Hospital Curve) in the city of San Francisco, which began Friday, March 27 and scheduled to end Monday, March 30, was completed ahead of schedule Sunday morning, March 29. All lanes were reopened today at 5.23 a.m.
The completion of this weekend's median barrier work concludes the Caltrans rehabilitation activities on the U.S. 101 Bayshore Freeway (Hospital Curve) that required weekend lane reductions until later this year. As a result, the work originally scheduled for the April 3-5 weekend has been cancelled.
This project is an ongoing two-year project to rehabilitate the U.S. 101 Bayshore Freeway (Hospital Curve), which began in October 2025.
