Thankful for Truckers: TCF Celebrates our Industry’s Heart This Giving Season

Nov 12, 2025

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, the Trucking Cares Foundation is counting our blessings and reflecting on everything that we have to be grateful for.

First and foremost, we appreciate all of you, our incredible members. Your generosity, selflessness, and community spirit were instrumental in helping our organization reach new heights. Together, we had an enormous, beneficial impact on those we serve. Thanks to you, we continued to make progress on our core mission to deliver humanitarian and disaster relief; eradicate human and drug trucking; support truck drivers, veterans, and first responders; and promote roadway safety.

Our 2025 achievements have been all the more noteworthy since they took place against the backdrop of a painful multi-year freight recession that has put enormous strain on our industry. But truckers are resilient. You continued to step up and give during this challenging time to support the causes that are important to you. For that, we are eternally thankful.

On December 2nd, we will celebrate Giving Tuesday, an annual, worldwide movement that encourages individuals to give back to their communities.

We are fully cognizant of this tough economic environment that continues to plague trucking. However, if you are in a position to give, we would be honored if you would consider renewing your commitment or donating for the first time to propel the Trucking Cares Foundation into 2026.

With your support, here are the non-profits that we were able to assist over the past year:

  • American Logistics Aid Network (ALAN) - An industry-wide organization that provides supply chain assistance to humanitarian organizations whenever disasters hit, all with the help of numerous members of the logistics community who have agreed to make essential donations of transportation, warehousing, equipment, or expertise.
  • At Ease USA - An organization that provides access to confidential trauma treatment and therapeutic support for active military, veterans, and their loved ones, regardless of their ability to pay.
  • Garrett High School's CDL Program - A first-of-its-kind high school CDL program developed through the Center for Transportation Safety. This program opens up vast opportunities for students, as well as contributes to the local economy.
  • North Bangor PA Fire Co. - A volunteer-based emergency service that serves the residents of Upper Mount Bethel Township and the surrounding communities in Northampton County, Pennsylvania. A donation was made to support the department's purchase of a heavy lift airbag extrication kit to assist first responders with rescues.
  • Saint Christopher's Truckers Defense Fund - An organization that provides financial assistance to Class A CDL over-the-road truck drivers when an illness or injury forces them out of work.
  • Truckers Against Trafficking - An organization that educates, equips, empowers, and mobilizes members of the transportation industry to combat human trafficking.
  • Monarch School - An organization that provides academic, social, emotional, and life skills to hundreds of unhoused youths.
  • West Kerr (TX) Education Foundation - A donation was made on behalf of H-E-B, the winner of this year's John Lex Premier Achievement Award, to help the organization meet the healing needs of their district's teachers and counselors who were impacted by the catastrophic flood in Texas Hill Country.

In addition, on National Fentanyl Prevention and Awareness Day, the Trucking Cares Foundation participated in a press conference in Times Square to raise awareness about the threat posed by the epidemic of illicit, deadly fentanyl. We also hosted an event on Capitol Hill to recognize four bipartisan Members of Congress who sponsored legislation to help veterans launch careers in the trucking industry.

With your ongoing support, the Trucking Cares Foundation will continue to promote the causes that you care about most.

Here's how you can help:

  • Save the date and plan to give on December 2nd, Giving Tuesday
  • Share your story-why you supported the Trucking Cares Foundation-with friends, family, or on social media
  • Spread the word and encourage others to make an impact by donating to the Trucking Cares Foundation.

Every voice matters. Every gift counts. This Giving Tuesday, please help us make 2026 our most impactful year yet-for the drivers who keep America moving.
