NEWS RELEASE
For Immediate Release: March 13, 2026

DALLAS - All Dallas ISD schools and offices will be closed March 16-20 for spring break. Normal operations will resume Monday, March 23. To support families during the break, Food and Child Nutrition Services will offer drive-up meal services beginning at 9 a.m., Monday, March 16. Meals are available to all children 18 and younger, as well as students with disabilities of any age. Students must be present to receive meals.

VISUALS:Senior student surprised with full-ride scholarship
Woodrow Wilson High School senior, Aaron G., has been selected as a UT Impact Scholar, earning a first-dollar, full tuition scholarship to The University of Texas at Austin. This week, representatives from the university surprised Aaron on campus, with his family in attendance, to formally announce the honor. Only 100 students across Texas receive this prestigious award, which recognizes exceptional leadership and academic potential.

January 2026 inclement weather update
Dallas ISD received a waiver for the four days campuses were closed due to inclement weather in January 2026. As a result, the previously designated make-up days - April 6 and May 4 - will no longer be used, and schools will remain closed on those dates for students and campus staff.
