Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright represented Estuary Power in the tax equity financing for the Escape Solar and Storage Project, a 185 MW solar and 400 MW-hour battery storage facility in Lincoln County, Nevada.
The project, which will include nearly 400,000 bifacial PV panels spanning approximately 900 acres, will produce clean energy for several major power customers in the region, including MGM Resorts International, Overton Power District, Caesars Entertainment and Wynn Las Vegas.
The firm served as lead counsel in the tax equity commitment from Morgan Stanley Renewables, Inc. and tax counsel in the tax equity bridge loan provided by First Citizens Bank & Trust Company, Norddeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale (Nord/LB) and National Bank of Canada, and long-term construction-to-term facility provided by Denham Capital, on the Escape solar project.
The project is expected to begin commercial operations in late 2025. The financing closed on December 20, 2024.
