Allianz Life Names New Chief Operating Officer and Chief Actuary

MINNEAPOLIS - April 24, 2025 -Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz Life) announced today that it has named a new chief operating officer and chief actuary. Luca Gallo will assume the role of senior vice president, chief operating officer and Adam Brown will assume the role of senior vice president, chief actuary. Both Gallo and Brown are current Allianz Life employees and will be part of the company's executive leadership group.

New chief operating officer

Gallo will focus on supporting the company's growth with responsibility for: operations, technology, and transformation strategies and delivery. He joined the Allianz family of companies in 2015 holding roles such as chief information officer for Allianz Worldwide Partners Brazil and various senior level positions with Allianz Technology of America. Most recently, he served as senior vice president for technology and transformation at Allianz Life.

New chief actuary

Brown will oversee the actuarial, product and reinsurance teams at Allianz Life. Brown has been with Allianz Life more than 20 years, progressively advancing through roles in the actuarial department. He was most recently the senior vice president of actuarial product development, where he was responsible for developing and implementing products that position Allianz Life as a leader in the market for retirement risk management solutions.
