The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a roadway paving project will be performed on Service Route 429 (Day Pond Road) in Colchester. This project is scheduled to take place on Monday, May 11 and be completed on Thursday, May 14, 2026. Project No. DOT01720558CN "G" consists of paving a 0.67-mile segment of Service Route 429 (Day Pond Road) and park of Peck Lane in Colchester.
This project is included in CTDOT's 2026 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Service Route 429 (Day Pond Road) in Colchester on Service Route 429 (Day Pond Road) and a segment of Peck Lane Road. Crash attenuator vehicles, traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Thursday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
