NW 9th Court Stormwater Improvements Project

The City of Fort Lauderdale and Southeastern Engineering Contractors are making improvements to the stormwater system along NW 9th Court east of NW 24th Avenue in Durrs. This project includes:

  • Cleaning eight existing catch basins and replacing existing grates as needed
  • Installing two new catch basins
  • Cleaning three existing manholes
  • Cleaning stormwater pipes
  • Restoring impacted asphalt and landscaping

Construction will begin on Monday, May 11, 2026, and is expected to be completed by Friday, July 10, 2026. Work will take place Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Traffic Impacts

  • NW 9th Court will be open to local traffic only east of NW 24th Avenue daily during work hours.
  • Traffic control personnel will direct traffic as needed.
  • Access to driveways will be maintained unless work is taking place in the immediate area across from the driveway. Crews will attempt to coordinate with neighbors prior to the start of asphalt operations that will impact driveway access.
  • Please follow posted signs and drive with caution in the area.
