Event Raises Record Amount for the Women's Resource Center to End Domestic Violence
Decatur, Ga.- DeKalb County District Attorney Sherry Boston thanks the participants, volunteers and sponsors who helped make the 11th Annual Love Run 5K the most successful yet. The race had another record-breaking turnout, with more than 500 registered runners and walkers.
The 5K begins in the Decatur Square and is a Northside Hospital Peachtree Road Race Qualifying Event.
DA Boston created the event in 2016 while serving as DeKalb County Solicitor-General to commemorate Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month and raise money for the Women's Resource Center to End Domestic Violence (WRCDV). WRCDV provides emergency shelter, legal aid and other resources for domestic violence survivors and their children. This was the first Love Run since the Women's Resource Center expanded their mission to offer help to sexual assault survivors by acquiring the DeKalb Rape Crisis Center in 2025.
While the total is still being finalized, DA Boston is proud to announce the 2026 Love Run 5K set a fundraising record generating more than $31,000 for WRCDV.
