TIF Support Proposed for Homan Park Improvements

Homan Square Community Center Park in North Lawndale would be improved through $600,000 in Tax Increment Financing (TIF) assistance proposed to City Council today by Mayor Brandon Johnson.
The Chicago Park District project at 3517 W. Arthington St. would upgrade the park's playground and create an outdoor fitness circuit and walking path.
Funding would be allocated from the Homan/Arthington TIF district. TIF would cover the entirety of project costs.
