HAMILTON COUNTY I-75 at I-24 Interchange Reconstruction Phase 2: Nightly Lane closures will regularly occur on this project, 9 PM to 6 AM, on I-75 North and South between Exit 1 (East Ridge) and Exit 3A (East Brainerd Road/ SR-320) and on I-24 East and West from Germantown Road to Spring Creek Road, MM182 to MM185, for various construction activities. These closures may temporarily reduce traffic to a single lane. Uniformed police officers will be present in these work zones to assist with traffic management and to enforce traffic laws. (Note: nighttime lane closures from 8 PM to 6 AM are scheduled on I-24 East and West between Germantown Road and the I-75 interchange for placement of asphalt paving on Sunday (12/21) and Monday (12/22). On Saturday, December 20th from 8 AM to 8 PM the contractor will also have daytime closures on the outside lanes and ramps of I-24 East and West to finish paving. Ramp closures include I-24 WB exit 183 and I-24 EB exit 183. At times, traffic may be temporarily reduced to a single lane during nighttime work while this paving is taking place. As crews pave traffic lanes, it may be necessary to temporarily close entrance and exit ramps along I-24 for crews to safely perform their work. Message boards and detours will be posted to guide traffic to the next available ramp. As soon as fresh paving has cured sufficiently to support traffic, these ramps will be reopened. The contractor plans to continue paving North and South Terrace. This work will continue until Tuesday (12/23). Various lane closures and detours will be implemented for the Terrace work as it progresses. Further information on this work as it progresses. Most of the remaining work items on this project are temperature and weather sensitive. If any of them are canceled due to inclement conditions, they will be rescheduled to take place on the next available day when adequate conditions exist.
