Town of Huron - Town of Huron Youngman Expansion Solar PV Project, Sustainable Energy Developments Inc., d/b/a GreenSpark Solar

Negative Declaration

Wayne County - The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Town of Huron Youngman Expansion Solar PV Project, Sustainable Energy Developments Inc., d/b/a GreenSpark Solar will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the installation of a 2.5 MW AC solar project on the approximately 37 acre Youngman property located in the Town of Huron. The project would be built adjacent to and south and east of the existing solar array on the property. The system would consist of approximately 4,944 solar PV modules, UL 1741 certified inverters, and ground mounted, pier driven racking system. The entire array footprint is approximately 9.75 acres and to be enclosed by fencing. The modules will be oriented south, with a tracking system that will be oriented east/west, and the tailing edge of each row will be approximately five feet. During construction the array will be accessed by a new 1,000 ± foot gravel access drive off of Stone Road. The system will be directly interconnected to the local RG&E distribution grid. All energy produced will be credited to an RG&E commercial customer, which will be buying the solar power generated via credits on their RG&G bill. The project is located at 11799 Wilson Street in the Town of Huron, New York.
