Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Political-Security Community Delivers Keynote Address at International Conference Hosted by ASEAN Centre at MGIMO University

H.E. Dato' Astanah Abdul Aziz, Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Political-Security Community, delivered keynote remarks at the Opening Ceremony of the International Conference "Russia and ASEAN in the Asia-Pacific Region: Dynamics of Cooperation, Regional Processes and Global Context", held on 12-14 November 2025 in Moscow, Russia.

Organised annually by the ASEAN Centre at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO University), the conference this year commemorates the 15th anniversary of the Centre's establishment.

In her remarks, DSG Dato' Astanah highlighted the progress in ASEAN-Russia relations, which will commemorate its 35th anniversary in 2026, and reaffirmed the importance of strengthening cooperation to advance regional peace, stability and prosperity. She also underscored ASEAN's long-term strategic vision under ASEAN 2045: Our Shared Future, emphasising the role of multilateralism and ASEAN-led mechanisms in building an open, inclusive and resilient region.
