I-5 Connectors to SR-78 Closed Evenings August 9 to August 12

SAN DIEGO - - Caltrans will close the southbound Interstate 5 (I-5) connector to eastbound State Route 78 (SR-78) from Sunday, August 9 to Wednesday, August 12, 11:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. The northbound I-5 connector to westbound SR-78/Vista Way will also be closed from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. for road work.

Motorists on the southbound I-5 may continue south, exit at Las Flores Drive, turn left to the northbound I-5 on-ramp, and then connect to eastbound SR-78.

Motorists on the northbound I-5 may continue north, exit at Oceanside Boulevard, turn left to the southbound I-5 on-ramp, and connect to westbound SR-78/Vista Way.

Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.

The work schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other work-related reasons.
