Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services hiring seasonal staff to support summer programs across Colorado Springs

The City of Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department is hiring seasonal employees to help deliver summer camps, maintain parks and trails, welcome visitors and support outdoor recreation programs across the city.

Seasonal staff play an essential role in ensuring residents and visitors enjoy safe, clean and engaging parks and facilities throughout the warmer months. Positions range from 10 to 40 hours per week, with most roles beginning this spring and continuing through the summer season. Some positions may extend into early fall based on operational needs.

Opportunities are available in a variety of program areas, including day camp leaders, golf maintenance workers, historical interpreters at Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site, and park rangers at Garden of the Gods Park and Pikes Peak - America's Mountain. These roles provide valuable hands-on experience, flexible scheduling options and the opportunity to work outdoors while serving the community.

"Seasonal employees are critical to the success of our summer programs and services," said Kim King, acting Director of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services. "These positions offer meaningful work, professional experience and the opportunity to be part of a team that helps create memorable experiences for residents and visitors alike."

In addition to supporting City services, seasonal positions can help individuals build professional skills and connections that may lead to future employment opportunities with the City.

Applications are being accepted now. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply early at GovernmentJobs.com/Careers/COSprings.
