BMI is rolling out a streamlined login experience for our Online Services platform and further strengthening your account security. Starting September 22, we're simplifying password requirements to make logging in easier and implementing multi-factor authentication (MFA) to add an extra layer of protection to your account. We're always looking to improve our service based on your feedback, and these updates are part of our ongoing effort to enhance your BMI experience.
Below are additional details and the quick steps you'll need to take starting September 22.
What's changing?
-
Simpler Passwords: We're reducing password requirements to 10 characters, including one number and one uppercase letter. Your new password will no longer expire, so you can set it and won't have to change it again.
-
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA): We're requiring multi-factor authentication (MFA), meaning you'll need a second verification step beyond your password when logging into your OLS account. You can choose to receive a code via text message or authenticator app (i.e., Google or Microsoft Authenticator). Note that MFA will always be required when you're updating sensitive information.
When are these changes happening?
-
Starting on September 22, you can change your password to take advantage of the simpler requirements and at your next login you will be asked to enroll in MFA.
