Members of the Washington State University community can recognize the achievements of their coworkers by nominating them for this year's Governor's Outstanding Leadership Awards.
State workers, including WSU employees, who went above-and-beyond during the past year are eligible for the 2025 Governor's Outstanding Leadership Award. Candidates are evaluated based on a host of performance metrics as well as their competency as a leader.
"This is your opportunity to honor individuals in your organization who went above and beyond in the 2024 calendar year - those who led with integrity, inspired others, and delivered measurable results - whether through a breakthrough one-time achievement, or consistent, sustained leadership, these individuals exemplify the very best of public service," Washington Gov. Bob Ferguson wrote in a letter to statewide agencies last month.
The deadline to nominate state employees for the recognition is May 28.
Nominations can be made using an online submission form. WSU employees who are planning to nominate a co-worker are asked to contact Human Resource Services prior to doing so to ensure would-be nominees are eligible under award guidelines.
This year's winners will be announced in September.
