Stan Schlueter Loop closures planned starting Thursday, Sept. 11
KILLEEN, Texas (Sept. 10, 2025) - The outside eastbound lane of Stan Schlueter Loop east of Fort Hood Street, will be closed starting Thursday, Sept. 11 to Tuesday, Sept. 30, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, weather permitting.
Additionally, the outside lane of the northbound off ramp of Fort Hood Street at Stan Schlueter Loop will be closed starting Tuesday, Sept. 23 to Tuesday, Sept. 30, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, weather permitting.
The closure is to allow a private contractor to install turn lanes in the area..
The contractor will have a traffic control plan to guide traffic around the work area. Motorists should anticipate delays and are asked to use caution and obey traffic control devices.
