On 26 June 2026, at the UN headquarters in Nairobi (Kenya), the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Belarus to the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Dzmitry Krasouski, took part in the 174th meeting of the UNEP Committee of Permanent Representatives.
During the meeting, Dzmitry Krasouski made a statement regarding the attack on a Belarusian civilian bus in the Bryansk region of Russia, which was carrying Belarusian citizens, mainly children.
The Permanent Representative of Belarus strongly condemned any acts of violence directed against civilians.
The Belarusian diplomat emphasised the need for an immediate, objective and impartial investigation into this tragedy, noting that the protection of children and the civilian population is the cornerstone without which the entire architecture of international cooperation would collapse.
