Tax Commissioner Bennett Announces New Office Hours

COVINGTON - The Newton County Tax Commissioner's Office updated its office hours to better serve the needs of the community. Both the main office, located at 1113 Usher Street, Covington and the Westside Office, located at 3612 Salem Road, Covington, is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Main Office will no longer close for lunch and the Westside Office will be closed from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily.

"We've adjusted our hours to ensure residents have greater access to our services at times that are most convenient for them," said Brent Bennett, Newton County Tax Commissioner. "These changes reflect our commitment to serving the community more effectively."

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the new hours and visit the office for any tax-related need. For added convenience, residents can visit our Self-Service Kiosk located in the Kroger at 341 Hwy 20 S in Covington. Additionally, many services are also available online at https://newtoncountytax.com
