Creative Greensboro invites the public to celebrate the restoration of a cherished mural on the Church Street overpass. The nearly decade-old artwork was removed during recent structural repairs, but thanks to a partnership with original artist Randall Kane of Charlotte and the Fisher Park community, the mural has been fully restored.
To commemorate the renewal, Creative Greensboro will host a public event on Friday, October 24, from 1-3 pm at the newly repainted daffodil mural on the Murrow Boulevard overpass, located at 481 N. Church St. Attendees are encouraged to stop by, take a selfie, and pick up a free mural sticker.
"Maintenance and restoration are essential to preserving the City's public art collection," said Jocquelyn Boone, chief creative economy officer and head of Creative Greensboro. "We're proud to support this renewal, which not only brightens the underpass but also enhances safety in the area."
