Fall Indigenizing Education graduate courses

The School of Education is offering several course opportunities this fall through the Indigenizing Education graduate program, and registration is now open.

EDIE A612: Indigenous Epistemologies in Alaska with Dr. Panigkaq Agatha John-Shields.

This course examines, analyzes, and applies Indigenous epistemologies, offering students an opportunity to engage with Alaska Native ways of knowing in meaningful, culturally grounded ways.

  • Morning section - Wednesdays, 10 a.m.-12:45 p.m. (CRN 76404)
  • Evening section - Thursdays, 5 p.m.-7:45 p.m. (CRN 71612)

EDIE A630 (CRN 71624): Indigenous Ways of Knowing with Angie Lunda

Learn how cultural ways of knowing shape values and behavior, how communities sustain one another, and how resilience and reciprocity are nurtured across generations. Students will also engage with Alaska Native traditional values as holistic approaches to wellness and healing.
