posted on 1.20.2026

TAB's recent webinar on stations' FCC obligations during an election year is now archived and available for viewing in the Members section of the TAB website. It's part of the TAB Political Toolkit and you can access it here. The TAB Political Toolkit is towards the bottom of the list of resources and includes:

  • The recording of TAB's FCC Political Broadcast Rules webinar Jan. 14, 2026
  • TAB's legal guide to the FCC's Political Broadcast Rules
  • TAB's Political Forms
  • TAB's 2026 Political Dates and Offices Up for Election Primer

Attorney Scott Flick of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, TAB's FCC legal counsel, reviewed the FCC's political broadcast rules as well as laws passed by Congress affecting political broadcast content such as reasonable access, equal opportunities, (LUC) lowest unit charge, advertisement censorship, the four news exceptions to the FCC's rules, sponsorship identification, and FCC required recordkeeping.

If you have not used the Members section of the TAB website before, you will be prompted to set up your account to access these resources.
