Meeting of Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan with the State Secretary for Political Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia Frano Matušić

On July 30, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan, who is on a working visit to New York, met with the State Secretary for Political Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia Frano Matušić.

The interlocutors commended the current level of Armenia-Croatia bilateral relations and emphasized the prospects for deepening cooperation in areas of mutual interest, particularly in the fields of energy, information technologies, and tourism. The importance of promoting bilateral relations through high-level visits was highlighted.

The Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia briefed his counterpart on the steps taken by the Government of Armenia following the adoption of the law "On the launch of the process of accession of the Republic of Armenia to the European Union". The two sides also exchanged views regarding the upcoming 8th European Political Community Summit to be held in Yerevan next year. The importance of continued dialogue in the format of experience-sharing with European countries was stressed.

Vahan Kostanyan and Frano Matušić also touched upon current issues on the regional and international agenda. Vahan Kostanyan presented to the interlocutor the latest developments in the Armenia-Azerbaijan normalization process.
