Dublin City Council's Flood Management Team continues to respond to ongoing adverse weather conditions and related impacts, with valuable support from many internal DCC departments.

A further Met Éireann status yellow rain warning has been issued for Dublin and is valid from 3am thursday morning (5th Feb) until 3am friday morning (6th Feb).

River levels remain high and there exists a high tides advisory. Further periods of rainfall are expected on already saturated ground.

Dublin City Council is monitoring river levels and coastal conditions closely, to ensure appropriate responses as required. Dublin City Council are in regular contact with the National Emergency Coordination Group on all aspects of recent weather events.

Tidal Warnings prompt Dublin City Council to continue to keep Carparks along coasts at Sandymount and Clontarf closed to protect against possible wave overtopping. The Cyclelane at Clontarf will remain closed as a precautionary measure.

Eden Quay Boardwalk (floodgates) will remain closed as a precautionary measure.

The flood gates along the River Dodder will remain closed until further notice.

Our Crews remain active across the city, making arrangements for possible events and responding to issues as they arise. Dublin City Council maintains a limited supply of sandbags at strategic locations for use in response to identified flooding risks. These resources are deployed by the Council where required, with priority given to critical infrastructure and locations assessed as being at immediate risk. For urgent flooding issues during working hours, please contact DCC Customer Services on 01 222 2222.
