Notice of Sewer Spill at Ridges 1 Lift Station
Early morning October 23, the City of Grand Junction discovered a sewer line spill resulting from the maintenance work being conducted at the Ridges 1 Lift Station near Ridges Blvd. and HWY 340.
City crews and contractors have fixed the pump causing the spill. City crews are cleaning up the spill. A portion of the spill overflowed to the Redlands Water and Power Canal which returns flow to the Colorado River. The total volume of the spill is still being assessed. There is no impact to drinking water.
Wildlife and habitat are not anticipated to be affected.
