AmeriHealth Caritas EVP Rhonda Mims Named a Modern Healthcare Leading Woman

Rhonda Mims, Executive Vice President of Public Affairs and Risk at AmeriHealth Caritas, has been named a Modern Healthcare Leading Woman, a national recognition honoring executives who are shaping the future of healthcare delivery.

The award highlights leaders whose work is influencing how healthcare organizations operate, govern, and deliver value. For Mims, that impact is reflected in the way public affairs and risk strategy, accountability, and purpose are aligned for the company.

Mims has helped bring greater cohesion and clarity to her department and areas of focus. Her leadership has supported clearer decision-making, stronger internal alignment, and greater organizational readiness as AmeriHealth Caritas continues to evolve.

"Rhonda brings exceptional clarity and discipline to complex challenges," said Gregg MacDonald, Interim President of AmeriHealth Caritas. "Her leadership reinforces the standards we set for ourselves as an organization and the confidence placed in us by regulators, partners, and the communities we serve."

The work Mims does at AmeriHealth Caritas also includes her role as Chair of the AmeriHealth Caritas Foundation. In 2025 she helped guide its national public launch, expanding the organization's community engagement through grants supporting nonprofit partners focused on addressing adverse childhood experiences and strengthening family resilience.

A longtime advocate for advancing women in leadership, Mims is widely respected for developing leaders through board service with organizations including the Thirty Percent Coalition, Athena Alliance, and the Executive Leadership Council, as well as through executive education and professional engagement across the healthcare industry.

Modern Healthcare's Leading Women program recognizes executives whose leadership is advancing healthcare delivery, strengthening organizational performance, and setting a standard for the industry.
