The City of Iowa City will be closing multiple streets beginning Friday, June 5, through Sunday, June 7, 2026, for the Iowa Arts Festival.
The annual art and music festival organized by Summer of the Arts brings dozens of artists selling their work, many musical performances, and activities for the whole family. This year's event will take place in Downtown Iowa City from Friday, June 5 to Sunday, June 7.

The following roads will be closed for the festival at 6 a.m. on Friday, June 5, and will reopen late night Sunday, June 7:
Parking meters on all impacted streets will be marked with "No Parking" signs before the event. Cars in violation of these regulations will be towed. Metered spots in this area do not allow parking from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. and these parking regulations will be enforced. Follow all posted parking signs to prevent your vehicle from being towed. Owners whose vehicles have been towed will need to obtain a vehicle release from the Iowa City Police Department, City Hall, 410 E. Washington St. Call 319-356-5275. Do not call 911.
In addition to reduced street parking, some ramp and lot parking will be reserved for festival vendors, artists, performers, and service vehicles. Look for posted signs indicating restricted parking.

The Parking Division will be operating a normal weekday and weekend schedule from Thursday, June 4, through Sunday, June 7. Parking ramps will remain open and staffed. All parking regulations will be in effect and enforced.
