Hill Research at the Grand Opening of the Roche Genentech Innovation Center Boston

Hill Research | 17 September 2026

BOSTON, September 17, 2026 - Hill Research was honored to be invited to the grand opening of the Roche Genentech Innovation Center Boston in Allston, joining leaders from across the life sciences, research and innovation communities to celebrate a significant new addition to Boston's biotech ecosystem.

The event brought together Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey, Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, Roche CEO Dr. Thomas Schinecker, members of Roche's global medical and scientific leadership and leaders of the new center, alongside researchers, industry partners and members of the local life sciences community. Hill Research was represented by CEO Dr. Louise Liu.

About the Center

Located at Harvard's Enterprise Research Campus in Allston, the Roche Genentech Innovation Center Boston brings together scientists from discovery research, clinical development, artificial intelligence and data science in a single end to end research environment, spanning early discovery through late stage clinical development. Its research focuses on cardiovascular, renal and metabolic diseases. Roche and Genentech have signed a ten year lease for the 95,000 square foot center, which will have capacity for up to 500 people.

Why It Matters to Us

For Hill Research, it was especially meaningful to attend as a young company building AI for clinical research. The disciplines the new center brings under one roof, discovery research, clinical development, AI and data science, are the same ones our work sits between every day.

More importantly, the afternoon was an opportunity to listen and learn. Building technology for clinical research means learning from the scientists discovering new medicines, the clinical teams developing them, and organizations that have spent decades translating science into therapies for patients. We are grateful for every opportunity to hear those perspectives and to understand better where technology can genuinely help.

As Hill Research continues to grow in Boston, we feel fortunate to be part of a community where global biopharma, academia, biotechnology, AI and entrepreneurship come together so naturally.

We are still early in our journey, with much more to learn. We hope to keep listening, keep improving, and keep building tools that can earn the trust of the scientists and clinical teams doing this work.

Congratulations to Roche and Genentech on the opening of their new Boston innovation center, and thank you for including Hill Research in this milestone.
