Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) has been named a Top Ten Military Friendly School in the nation for the 2025-2026 academic year.
SEMO ranked in the Top Ten in Military Friendly School designations and additionally ranked as a gold-designated Military Spouse Friendly School.
The Military Friendly Schools list, compiled by VIQTORY, veteran-owned business, recognizes institutions that demonstrate outstanding dedication to serving military students through financial aid, academic policies, student support and career services. SEMO's inclusion in the Gold and prestigious Top Ten ranking highlights the University's continued efforts to foster a welcoming and supportive environment for veterans, active-duty service members and their families.
"It's an honor to be recognized as a Gold and Top Ten Military Spouse Friendly School for the 2025-2026 school year," said Military and Veterans Service Officer Amanda Woods, in SEMO's Office of Military and Veteran Services (OMVS). "At SEMO, I believe the support structure for our military-affiliated students is unparalleled. We all want to see our military-affiliated students succeed and recognize not only where they came from but where they're going as well. It's exciting, and I'm so grateful to be a part of the University community that is committed to making that happen."
