ICANN Announces Recipients of the ICANN86 Fellowship

Today, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) announced the candidates selected to participate in the ICANN Fellowship Program at the ICANN86 Policy Forum. A total of 40 fellows residing in 34 countries will take part in the meeting 8-11 June 2026 in Seville, Spain.

The successful candidates represent all sectors of society, including civil society, government, country code top-level domain operators, academia, business, technical, security, and end user groups. The Fellowship Program seeks individuals who are interested or already engaged in the various aspects of ICANN's work, such as policy development, operation of the Domain Name System, and the security and stability of the global Internet.

The goal of the ICANN Fellowship Program is to strengthen the representation of the multistakeholder model by creating opportunities for individuals from underserved and underrepresented communities to become active participants in the ICANN community. As ICANN86 is a Policy Forum, all selected candidates are returning alumni of the ICANN Fellowship Program.

The ICANN organization (org) received 78 eligible applications for the ICANN86 Fellowship Program.

If ICANN86 is held virtually, the Fellowship Program also will be held virtually.

Visit the dedicated Fellowship Program web page to review the list of selected candidates.

About ICANN

ICANN's mission is to help ensure a stable, secure, and unified global Internet. To reach another person on the Internet, you need to type an address - a name or a number - into your computer or other device. That address must be unique so computers know where to find each other. ICANN helps coordinate and support these unique identifiers across the world. ICANN was formed in 1998 as a nonprofit public benefit corporation with a community of participants from all over the world.
