Tarkio River Bridge on Holt County Route 111 to close beginning Feb. 2

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Tarkio River Bridge on Holt County Route 111 west of Craig is scheduled to close beginning Monday, Feb. 2. Bridge crews with the Missouri Department of Transportation will be core drilling ahead of a planned bridge replacement project.

Traffic Impacts: Holt County Route 111 will be closed at the Tarkio River Bridge Feb. 2, noon to 5 p.m. and Feb. 3-5, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Motorists will need to seek an alternate route during the closure.

A project to replace the bridge is currently scheduled for 2027 in the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). More information on this, and other planned projects, can be found at: https://www.modot.org/statewide-transportation-improvement-program-stip.
