For MY2026/27, palm oil production is projected to moderate as yields normalize, while full-year implementation of the B15 biodiesel mandate supports domestic industrial consumption. Soybean imports are projected to recover from the lower MY2025/26 level, supporting increased domestic crushing and soybean meal production. For MY2025/26, palm oil production is revised higher to 20.2 million MT, supported by improved yields, better plantation management, improving labor availability, and favorable weather, with higher output supporting exports, palm kernel availability, and downstream processing. Palm oil imports are also revised higher to support Malaysia's refining and downstream processing industry. MY2025/26 soybean imports are revised lower as increased U.S. shipments are insufficient to offset lower shipments from Canada, Brazil, and other origins, while livestock feed demand continues to support soybean meal consumption and imports.
