Greetings on opening the 35th Slavyansky Bazaar in Vitebsk International Arts Festival

The message reads, in part:

"The festival, held each year on the hospitable soil of Belarus, is a major cultural event not only for the multi-ethic Slavic world but also for the wider Eurasian region. Its motto, Through Art to Peace and Mutual Understanding, is particularly relevant in today's highly challenging international environment and undoubtedly resonates with people from many countries.

As always, the Slavyansky Bazaar programme is rich and diverse. The people of Vitebsk and visitors to this ancient and beautiful city will have the opportunity to attend concerts featuring classical, contemporary and folk music, theatre premieres, vocal competitions, as well as a wide range of exhibitions and presentations. Special attention will traditionally be given to young audiences. Part of the festival's events are being held under the auspices of the Union State to mark the 30th anniversary of the integration process between Russia and Belarus.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the organisers of the Slavyansky Bazaar Festival for their excellent work and wish all participants inspiration and every success in their creative endeavours, while hoping that the festival's guests will enjoy memorable and unforgettable experiences."
