With improved weather conditions, Public Works crews have shifted their focus from plowing to black ice response and pothole repairs.
Due to forecasted freezing fog and the potential for black ice, crews will be working overnight tonight and overnight Wednesday night to apply brine (salt/water mixture) to the roadways.
Motorists are urged to continue to use caution, maintain distance from the City's brine trucks, and never attempt to pass them while they are working.

Because temperatures will again plummet on Friday through the weekend, residents should continue to practice heightened awareness by dripping faucets, ensuring outdoor spigots are covered, and leaving sink cabinets open.
