GV Forum to Convene Industry Leaders Ahead of NAB Show 2026

Now a recognized forum for industry leaders, GV Forum brings together media and technology executives to discuss how production, content operations and media infrastructure are evolving in real-world deployments

MONTREAL, CANADA - March 31, 2026 - Now entering its fourth year, Grass Valley will host GV Forum on Saturday, April 18, at the Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel. Guided by the GVX Leadership Council, the invitation-only event brings together senior leaders from across the global media industry to examine how production and content operations are evolving in real-world deployments ahead of NAB Show 2026.

Now a regular fixture in the NAB calendar, GV Forum has grown into a prominent leadership platform since its introduction in 2023, with a curated program centered on real-world deployments, operational priorities and industry collaboration. The 2026 edition continues that approach, combining executive discussion with sessions focused on how media organizations are implementing new production and operational models in practice.

Against the backdrop of increasingly distributed production environments, with teams working across on-premises infrastructure, cloud resources and hybrid configurations, the event will examine how leading organizations are managing increasing content volumes, supporting multiple distribution platforms and increasing operational flexibility without adding unnecessary infrastructure or complexity.

"Media companies are already moving toward software-defined, virtualized and open architectures," said Jon Wilson, CEO of Grass Valley. "The focus now is on how to implement these models in ways that align with the operational realities and deliver measurable outcomes. Modernization is a major challenge, but also a tremendous opportunity, which is why GV Forum brings together the leaders driving that change, to share practical insights on their latest deployments, what they are prioritizing next and how this all aligns with the strategic intent of their organizations."

The morning leadership session will explore how media organizations are aligning business strategy with technology decisions across live production, linear workflows and content supply chains. Sessions will draw on real-world deployments supported by industry performance trends presented in collaboration with Caretta Research.

Confirmed speakers include NEP Group's Scott Rothenberg, and Tim Canary of NBC Sports alongside representatives from Fox Sports, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Globo, NVP and Encompass Digital Media, and Caretta's Rebecca Jackson. Together these industry leaders will share perspectives spanning broadcast, live production and media services.

The afternoon session will focus on implementation, examining how modern media infrastructure approaches, including the Media eXchange Layer project (MXL), is being deployed across hybrid environments. Topics include open standards, interoperability and the practical steps required to connect existing infrastructure with software-defined workflows.

"The value of attending the GV Forum at NAB continues to grow each year. As production models evolve and organizations adopt and adapt to new architectures, there is a continued need for techniques that support both current demands and future opportunities," explained Del Parks, President of Technology at Sinclair Broadcast Group and Chairman of the GVx Leadership Council. "Because we face many of the same challenges across the media industry, it is critical to bring leaders together to share insight and experiences that are essential to finding economical and common paths forward."

GV Forum will also include updates on new developments across Grass Valley's broad portfolio, including new solutions for live production, content workflows and playout, alongside exciting strategic partner integrations to be announced during the event.

The focus is on how production models are being implemented today, and how those approaches are being refined as organizations scale, integrate and operate across increasingly complex environments. More information and registration details are available at grassvalley.com/gv-forum.
