Sister Cities Business Expo returns to Santa Ana on March 27-29

Over 40 businesses from Sahuayo, Michoacán, Mexico will showcase products and meet with local businesses and entrepreneurs to build business opportunities.

SANTA ANA, Calif. -The City of Santa Ana will host the Sister Cities Santa Ana & Sahuayo Business Expo 2026from March 27-29, bringing more than 40 businesses from Sahuayo, Michoacán, Mexico to connect with local entrepreneurs, retailers, and distributors.

The three-day expo is designed to strengthen international business partnerships, expand trade opportunities, and build on the growing economic collaboration between Santa Ana, California and Sahuayo, Michoacán, Mexico.

"Our sister city relationship with Sahuayo continues to create exciting opportunities for businesses and entrepreneurs in both communities," Mayor Valerie Amezcuasaid. "This Expo is a great example of how international partnerships can open doors for trade, collaboration and shared success."

Participating businesses will display a wide range of products, from leather sandals, purses and belts, to mezcal, tequila, candies, desserts, and more. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet directly with manufacturers and distributors and explore potential partnerships. The Expo builds on the strong momentum and measurable success of last year's inaugural event.

2025 Business Expo by the Numbers

The event builds on the success of the inaugural 2025 Business Expo which drew over 1,000 attendeesand facilitated more than 100 Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings.With over 50 Santa Ana businessesand 39 Sahuayo businessesparticipating, the event demonstrated a clear demand for international collaboration and reinforced the growing economic partnership between the two cities.

Santa Ana & Sahuayo: A Growing Partnership

Santa Ana and Sahuayo officially became sister cities in 2022, fostering collaboration in business, culture, tourism, education, and more. The partnership has resulted in donations of unused water equipment from Santa Ana to Sahuayo, cultural exchanges and visits between leaders in both cities, collaboration among artists from the two communities on a mural in downtown Santa Ana, and other initiatives.
