The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly rejects and condemns the Israeli cabinet's approval of a series of criminal decisions regarding the occupied West Bank.
The Ministry denounces Israel's persistent attempts to impose a fait accompli through colonial settlement expansion and to alter the legal status and character of the occupied Palestinian territory, including Jerusalem. It stresses that Israel has no sovereignty over any part of the occupied State of Palestine and, as an occupying power, has no legal right to annul or amend laws in force, including Jordanian legislation that remains part of Palestinian law.
The Ministry affirms that these decisions constitute a full-fledged war crime under international law and calls on states and international institutions to reject and condemn them, and to open criminal investigations into the so-called "Settlement Directorate" and the responsible Israeli authorities.
The Ministry stresses that these measures amount to de facto annexation of Palestinian land and directly contradict the declared position of U.S. President Donald Trump rejecting annexation and settlement expansion. It therefore calls on President Trump to intervene and pressure Israel to reverse these decisions, which gravely undermine peace, security, and regional stability.
