LOS ANGELES (Oct. 15, 2026) - Today, Evotrex, a California-based company transforming outdoor adventure with intelligent, power-generating RVs, announced it has been named "AutoTech Startup of the Year" by the AutoTech Breakthrough Awards.
The AutoTech Breakthrough Awards recognize innovative companies and solutions advancing automotive technology across smart mobility, vehicle systems and transportation infrastructure. Winners are selected based on innovation, performance, ease of use, functionality, value and overall impact. Being honored with this award underscores Evotrex's role in establishing a new category of intelligent mobile energy systems.
Evotrex was founded by outdoor enthusiasts set out to redefine off-grid travel experiences by combining advanced electric power technology with towable RVs designed for comfort, capability and unrestricted off-grid travel. The company's flagship offering, the Evotrex-PG5, was built to elevate the camping experience while unlocking opportunities to travel further with more freedom.
The PG5 combines power generation, battery storage, solar and intelligent energy management in a single RV, delivering capabilities far beyond those of a traditional RV. As a mobile energy platform, the PG5 can power devices and appliances, provide home backup power and charge other electric vehicles through V2L, V2H and V2V charging. Together, these capabilities address a long-standing gap in the RV industry by reducing the traditional reliance on campground hookups and standalone generators while expanding the possibilities for off-grid travel.
Evotrex has demonstrated strong commercial momentum since its January 2026 product launch. The company has raised a total of $46 million in funding to support automotive-grade validation, finalize product development and prepare for production ahead of planned customer deliveries in 2027.
The Evotrex-PG5 is available to explore through Evotrex's digital showroom, with preorders available at evotrex.com with a fully refundable $100 deposit.
