Locally, AIA New York is beginning the leadership identification process by seeking candidates for the 2026 Nominating Committee.

AIANY membership will vote to elect the committee in October 2025. Those elected will serve on the Nominating Committee from January to June of 2026, with bi-weekly meetings conducted virtually and sometimes in-person at AIANY | Center for Architecture. The Committee identifies a slate of leaders for 2027 board and elective committee who will be elected at the next AIA New York Annual Meeting in June 2026.

We invite you to join us September 17 for an open meeting (and networking happy hour) where Architect, International Associate, Emeritus, and Associate members of AIANY can provide candidate names for the Nominating Committee Ballot. Your vote makes an impact-please join us! Bring a friend, coworker, former classmate, or ARE study buddy to share in this visioning of the organization's future. Members who are unable to come in person may submit candidate names in advance by emailing [email protected] by 5 pm on Tuesday, September 16.
