Spell Capital Partners Announces Sale of Norshield Security Products

Spell Capital Partners is pleased to announce the sale of Norshield Security Products ("Norshield") in December 2024, a company owned by the Spell Family Office. Norshield, founded in 1979 and headquartered in Montgomery, AL, is the world's leading manufacturer of certified ballistic, attack, and blast resistant windows, doors, louvers, hatches and booths. The Norshield business was sold to the ASSA ABLOY Group, a global leader in access solutions with 61,000 employees worldwide and revenues of approximately $12.8 billion.

"Norshield was a long-term and successful investment for the Spell Family Office. The business was purchased in 2009, and during our ownership we invested heavily in the operating facility and manufacturing capabilities to better serve the mission critical needs of our customers. We appreciate the opportunity we've had to work with the entire Norshield team over the last 15 years and wish them the best as they become part of the ASSA ABLOY organization," said Jim Rikkers, Senior Managing Director of Spell Capital Partners.
