On 9 July 2025, H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended the Opening Ceremony of the 58th ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting and Related Meetings in Kuala Lumpur. The Foreign Minister was welcomed by the Honourable Dato' Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia.
Prior to the Opening Ceremony, the Foreign Minister also paid a courtesy call on the Honourable Dato' Seri Anwar Bin Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia, together with other ASEAN Foreign Ministers.
