Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs meets Ambassador of New Zealand to Thailand
On 15 May 2025, Mr. Paisan Rupanichkij, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, met with H.E. Mr. Jonathan Dale Kings, Ambassador of New Zealand to Thailand, to discuss ways to strengthen ASEAN-New Zealand cooperation.
The Deputy Permanent Secretary called for closer cooperation in peace and security, trade and investment, the green agenda, education, and health cooperation under the ASEAN-New Zealand cooperation framework. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the progress of cooperation under ASEAN-New Zealand Dialogue Relations and the upcoming 50th Anniversary of Dialogue Relations to be held in October 2025 in Malaysia. In addition, both sides discussed and exchanged views on sub-regional cooperation frameworks such as ACMECS.
