MALAYSIA CALLS UPON THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY TO END THE
GAZA CONFLICT WITH A COMPREHENSIVE SOLUTION GROUNDED IN I
NTERNATIONAL LAW
Malaysia considers the adoption of the United Nations Security Council Resolution on 17 November 2025 as an important step in the right direction to end the conflict in Gaza.
The Resolution endorses the Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict which was announced on 8 October 2025 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. The Security Council's decision would pave the path for the establishment of a Board of Peace and an International Stabilisation Force, to facilitate the reconstruction and economic recovery, and demilitarisation of Gaza.
Durable peace in Palestine and in the region can only be achieved through an inclusive and comprehensive solution. Malaysia calls upon the Security Council to ensure the swift and thorough implementation of the resolution to realise the rights of the Palestinians, including their right to Statehood, sovereignty and territorial integrity, and to guarantee the right of return of Palestinian refugees.
Malaysia will continue to support all efforts that are grounded in international law and principles enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations towards realising an independent and sovereign State of Palestine, based on the pre-1967 borders with East Jerusalem as the Capital.
