The Portland Police Major Crash Team is investigating a serious injury crash involving a moped rider on Northeast 33rd Avenue south of Northeast Columbia Boulevard.

On Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 2:13 p.m., Portland Police Officers assigned to North Precinct responded to a report of a crash on the ramp from eastbound Columbia Boulevard to southbound 33rd Avenue in the Concordia Neighborhood. Officers found a crash involving a moped rider who was seriously injured. The rider was transported to the hospital by ambulance with injuries that are critical and potentially life-threatening.

The Portland Police Traffic Division Major Crash Team is responding to the scene to investigate the crash. Preliminary information is that this was a single vehicle crash where the rider struck a guardrail.

During the investigation, Northeast 33rd Avenue is closed in both directions south of Northeast Columbia Boulevard. Northeast Columbia Boulevard is open to traffic.
